Evans Opiyo is a certified addiction professional and mental health advocate with over 8 years of experience in substance use recovery and psychosocial support. He is an expert in Mental health assessments, screening, treatment planning and counselling.
Evans has saved in various capacities and he is well versed with skills and competencies in client management. He is a member of Professional Counselling Bodies, Uganda counselling association (UCA,) International Society of Substance use Professionals (ISSUP,) and a Certified Quality Rights and Recovery Professional (WHO). He Holds a Diploma/ TOT in addictions counselling, prevention and treatment from Support for Addictions Prevention and Treatment in Africa (SAPTA) and has attained certifications in mental health and Behavioral Modification.
Evans is passionate about empowering clients with Addictions and mental health and their families achieve full recovery through evidence- based individualized and group therapies. He is currently specializing in trauma therapy as a trainee in EMDR.
