ARC’s Eight-Week Integrated Inpatient Programme is built on the Minnesota Model — the internationally recognised, evidence-based approach that has guided millions into recovery worldwide. We have not imported it wholesale. AA & NA integrated from day one
FELLOWSHIP · BUILT INTO DAILY LIFE
ARC is one of the few treatment centres in East Africa where AA and NA meetings are woven into daily life from the moment you arrive. In-house meetings run on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings. Saturdays are reserved for Al-Anon and family visiting. Every client leaves with a confirmed home group contact, a local meeting schedule and, wherever possible, a named sponsor. Recovery does not end at discharge. It continues in the fellowship.

Our team is our greatest strength. Care at ARC is never managed in isolation — it is co-ordinated daily across an entire team of specialists working on your behalf. Our Medical Director specialises in Addiction Psychiatry. Our Programme Director brings both professional certification and over 15 years of personal recovery. Our Senior Consultant Clinical Psychologist holds a PhD from Stellenbosch University. Behind every recovery at ARC is a team that is deeply qualified and genuinely invested.

Dual-site coverage & structured aftercare

With specialist facilities in both Kampala and Mbarara, ARC serves patients from across Uganda, East Africa and beyond. Aftercare planning begins in Week 7, so that nothing is left to chance. Every departing client receives confirmed AA/NA referrals, a personalised relapse response plan, and dedicated ARC aftercare support contacts. For organisations, our EAP provides proactive, confidential workplace mental health support.
